Sporting 87 Girls fine show at tournament

The Club’s U12 girls squad entered two teams at the Ipswich Valley Rangers 4 v 4 tournament this month. The event was thankfully held indoors as morning outside temperatures began at -9°C at the plush sports hall on the Suffolk One College campus. Split into two teams the girls were equal to the opposition and showed great determination throughout. Although all the girls played some lovely passing football and were challenging strongly to win the ball, two of the squad were deserving of player of the tournament awards for individual achievement: Lucy and Jess. Thank you to all the parents that provided transport and supported the teams, and well done to the four Young Leaders who supported the event as referees.
