Twelve teams from all over Suffolk took part in Sporting 87 FC’s girls tournament at the weekend. The girls were joined by special guest Grace McCatty, England and Bristol Academy FC, who not only presented the participant awards, but also ran a technical training session and even demonstrated her refereeing skills.

Sporting 87 FC Football Development Manager and Club Secretary Jonathan Warnock expressed his delight of this successful event, “It’s been a wonderful day; so good to see nearly 100 girls playing and learning together in this County event. Grace has just been wonderful with everyone; we’ve been so fortunate to have her with us today”.

Our Young Leaders have worked hard to organise and help run this event, and together with the brilliant support of Jenny Morris at Suffolk FA, I think we’ve produced an enjoyable special day for everyone”.
